The Planetarium invites all visitors to two evening appointments not to be missed to enjoy the spectacular flyby of asteroid 2005 YU55.

On November 8, asteroid 2005 YU55 will fly past Earth and come within about 325000 kilometers from it: less than the distance from Earth to the Moon, a light second. There is no danger to our planet.
For the occasion, the Planetarium, which is part of Civic Museum Network of Rome, Assessorato alle Politiche Culturali e Centro Storico - Sovraintendenza ai Beni Culturali, will hold a special event dedicated to the observation of this unique phenomenon, on Friday, November 11 at 9.00 pm and 10.30 pm, with an exclusive hook-up with Gianluca Masi's Virtual Telescope (www.virtualtelescope.eu), to watch the flyby in real time screened on the dome of the Planetarium.
In case of bad weather the program is a subject to change.
